- CUHWC Bylaws were reviewed and edited by Mike Lonon prior to the meeting. Changes to the bylaws were discussed and consensus was reached on the changes. Mike will make the changes and send by email for review and approval by the Board of Directors (Board).
- At Large Member was voted on. Adam Peters (University of Virginia) was unanimously voted.
- Hosts for 2009 and 2010 were voted on. Louisiana State University was selected as host for 2009 pending bid letter from senior administration. Jack Tarpley will contact Michael Hooks. Indiana University PUI submitted bid and will be asked to host the 2010 conference.
- CUHWC will issue an RFP to manage the website. Consistency and continuity for the website were considered and deemed important. Mike will draft an RFP and send for edits to the Board.
- It was voted to add an Officers section to the web site. This section will be available only to the board members.
- Mike will contact the attorney on record for updating the bylaws and the officers.
- Final numbers for the 2007 conference are being completed. There will be approximately $40,000 for the 2008 conference.
- A committee was approved to evaluate and align CUHWC with CSHEMA in regards to the letter received from CSHEMA. The committee is chaired by Bill Diesslin (Iowa State University).
- A document on "How to Host a Conference" will be prepared by Valerie in conjunction with past hosts. This will be posted to the web site.
- A private vendor will be used for online reservations for the 2008 conference.
- Save the date emails will be sent out to the list serve for the 2008 conference.
